Qypsy ("Qypsy," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the limited circumstances under which we may share it.
1. Information We Collect
A. Email Address (Optional)
We collect your email address only if you choose to use the "Resume Exam" feature. Your email is used solely to send you a one-time link that allows you to return to your in-progress exam.
We do not use your email address for:
- Newsletters or marketing emails
- Promotional messages
- Advertising purposes
- Selling or renting to third parties
B. Exam Session Data
If you request a resume link, we temporarily store information related to your exam session, including:
- The exam you were taking
- Your selected answers
- Your progress and current question
- The timer state
- A unique session token tied to your resume link
This data exists only to restore your exam so you can continue where you left off.
C. Analytics Data (Google Analytics)
Once Google Analytics is active on launch, we may collect anonymized usage data such as:
- Pages you visit on Qypsy
- General device and browser information
- Approximate location (e.g., city/region)
- Actions taken on the site (such as starting an exam)
We do not use Google Analytics to collect personally identifiable information such as your name or email address. IP addresses may be anonymized in accordance with Google's standard practices.
D. Advertising Data (Ads & Monetization)
When we introduce ads through partners, those partners may use cookies or similar technologies to:
- Display and measure ads on Qypsy
- Limit how often you see the same ad
- Measure the effectiveness of ad campaigns
- Show contextual or interest-based ads, depending on your region and consent choices
Where required, you will have the option to manage your preferences about personalized ads via a consent banner or cookie settings.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Resume Exam Functionality: To email you a resume link and restore your exam progress, answers, and timer state.
- Site Performance & UX: To understand how Qypsy is used (in aggregate) and improve exam quality, navigation, and user experience.
- Advertising & Monetization: To support Qypsy by displaying ads where ad partners may use non-personal or consent-based signals.
We do not connect your email address with analytics or advertising data.
3. Data Retention and Automatic Deletion (48 Hours)
To protect your privacy, Qypsy is designed with minimal data retention. All exam session data associated with a resume link, including your email address, is automatically deleted around 48 hours after creation.
After this deletion:
- Your resume link will no longer work.
- Your exam session can no longer be restored.
- Your email address and related session data are removed from our active database.
We do not retain personally identifiable exam session data beyond this 48-hour window.
5. Third-Party Services and Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We only share limited information with third parties where necessary to provide Qypsy, including:
- Email Service Providers: Used solely to send you a resume exam link that you requested.
- Analytics Providers: Such as Google Analytics, which receive anonymized or aggregated usage data.
- Advertising Networks: May use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads.
These third parties are only allowed to use information as necessary to provide their services to us and must handle it in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
6. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to help protect your information, including:
- HTTPS encryption for data in transit
- Secure cloud infrastructure
- Limited data retention (48-hour deletion policy)
- Access controls and authentication mechanisms
While no system can be completely secure, we are committed to continuously improving our security practices.
7. Children’s Privacy
Qypsy is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, which can include:
- Requesting access to information we hold about you
- Requesting correction of inaccurate information
- Requesting deletion of your information, where applicable
